Torque Consulting are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join a well established New York City-based client specializing in residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company with a strong list of upcoming projects.
Description:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that they meet project requirements and schedules
- Ensure that project timelines and milestones are met, and that the project is completed on time and within budget
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards, and that all project documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure that all workers follow safety guidelines and procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Demonstrated history of working on residential construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools, and ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and other team members
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
- OSHA certification is preferred
