Torque Consulting are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a client of ours based near Lathom. Our client is a global manufacturer operating in over 20 countries. Our client Technology centre is home to their technical team and they are responsible for carrying out projects across all their site.
The Senior Software Engineer will support in-house software applications. The applications are for factory automation and will require Software Engineers with skills in low-level C software development in real-time environments (Linux). Travel is an integral part of the role and will consists of short design trips as well as trips of around 2-4 weeks at a time supervising the commissioning phases.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- C on Linux
- C/C++ System-Level Development and Architecture experience
- Linux experience, x86
- Experience of real-time environments
- Process Control within Industrial Environments
- Low-level C Software Development knowledge, Networking, Communication Protocols, Software Design and Software Integration skills
- On Site Commissioning
