Project Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Project Quality Engineer who will form part of the Quality Assurance team at our Deeside manufacturing location. The desirable candidate should have experience in Automotive Quality and working within the scope of IATF 16949.
Key Responsibilities:
· To be the sites Quality representative when liaising with global sales, OEMs, or internal departments when the company is onboarding new products or new customers or making changes to product or process that require customer approval.
· To be responsible for the completion of any Quality related documentation, and organisation of required product testing through the Quality Control team during NPI or customer onboarding; from customer specific requests through to required PPAP.
· To have responsibility for the review of any Customer Specific Requirement updates through the lifetime of supply.
· To be the sites Quality representative through APQP and to deliver or organise QMS or product required actions that arise from the process, and to feedback to the project team utilising data gathered.
· To assist the Supplier Development team by aiding in site audits where required or giving expert advice to steer supplier PPAP submission.
· To assist the Quality Assurance team deliver the internal audit programme and aid non-conformance closure.
Other Duties
· To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the company
Education / Qualifications/ Experience
· Minimum of 2 years in an automotive quality engineering / quality assurance role – essential
· Degree/HND in an engineering discipline – essential
· Full understanding of IATF16949, ISO9001 and customer specific requirements – essential
· Internal Auditor Trained to IATF16949/ISO9001/VDA6.3 – desirable
· Working knowledge of APQP process – desirable
· Working within bulk materials manufacture – advantage
· Working experience with quality software – advantage
Soft skills related for the position:
