Company Description
Padiham Glass is one of the UK’s leading Sealed Unit Manufacturers and a division of the Emplas Group of companies. Set up in 1980, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading insulated glazed unit and glass processing business. Operating from our state-of-the-art 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility near Burnley in Lancashire, we’re committed to bringing the latest innovations in high performance and energy efficient glass technologies to the trade. We are fully operational and experiencing encouraging increases in volumes.
Position
The Quality Inspector is responsible for the management and delivery of the product quality performance against the approved System Description.
The role will be based on the IGU line as the final inspection of the product before dispatch and is required to further reduce the number of defective product reaching the customer.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Conduct 100% visual inspection of finished product as it leaves the production line
· Provide signed authorisation for product release.
· Quarantine product that does not meet the requirements of the system description and feedback the details of the reason for rejection.
· Support of Continuous Improvement Initiatives as directed.
· Maintain satisfactory levels of time-keeping and attendance.
· Maintain satisfactory levels of house-keeping.
· Any other duties as required to support business.
· Support the inspection, audit and sampling requirements for CEN

It is essential for the quality department to be distinguishable, therefore corporate dress code must be adhered to.

Other information
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: Day shift and Night shift available. 06:00am-14:00pm or 22:00pm-06:00am
Pay Rate: £10.55 per hour plus a 20% shift allowance for the night shift
